HAI East Coast residential weekend workshops are held at Earthdance, a clothing-optional environment three hours from Boston and four from New York City. The site is close enough to be convenient yet far enough away to be relaxing. We offer car pooling for all our workshops.
The facilities that HAI uses during your weekend include the farmhouse (built in 1812) that hosts our dining area and workshop space, the latter consisting of two large studios. There is also a wood-stoked sauna nestled in the woods beside a spring-fed quarry. There are 125 acres of woods, stream, trails and flowering meadows to be enjoyed on breaks. This vivid and serene natural environment is quite lovely, and supplies the perfect environment for delving deeply into introspection, meditative thoughts, observing nature, or just hanging out with your newly-discovered friends.
Regular, Gratitude Lodge at 262 Prospect St, is a newly renovated multi-story building with three to ten beds per room. You need to bring your own bedding (sheets and pillowcase) if you stay here.
Deluxe, Nine Mountain (an additional $95), has six to eight people per room, and bedding is included. The hot tub—accessible at no charge to everyone during the weekend—is outside this building.
Private room, an additional $160 per person, based on double occupancy. (There are a very limited number of private rooms in the two dormitories, which are given to couples only on a first-come, first-served basis)
Camping in your own tent in the meadow is also possible. There is, however, no discount for camping.
