HAI Global COVID-19 Attendance Policy
HAI Global is committed to the safety of its participants, volunteers and employees. To attend a HAI event we require all participants, volunteers and staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and to take a COVID quick-test 2-4 days prior to the workshop begins. You will be asked to provide proof of vaccination, a negative COVID test, and provide verifying identification. Upon arrival, you will be asked to do a quick test which will require a negative test result. Even with vaccinations, there is still a risk and you will be asked to sign a waiver understanding this risk. Not passing the quick test, running a fever (99.5°F or more), exhibiting other covid symptoms (as outlined by the the CDC), not signing the waiver, and/or not being able to verify vaccination, will result in disallowment from the event. If you sign up for the workshop you understand and agree to the criteria in order to attend the event. If when entering the event you find yourself sick or cannot produce the appropriate documents, you will be asked to leave and your fees will be rolled to a future workshop.
HAI is adding a mandatory $30 surcharge to in-person weekend workshops to cover COVID testing and other COVID related expenses until they are no longer necessary.
Carpooling: As much as HAI typically encourages carpooling, for now, we are asking people to drive separately if at all possible. Due to the increased infectiousness of the delta COVID-19 variant, if one person in a car tests positive, we will turn away all the riders in that vehicle. If one person in a vehicle is infected, then those riding with them are exposed and could spread the virus. We appreciate your support as we navigate through this difficult period of time.
Sanitizing: HAI will be providing extra sanitation and hygiene protocols within our workshops, including HEPA air filters, hand sanitizer, regular wipe downs, as well as assuring that all staff and volunteers are vaccinated and following COVD-19 guidelines. We have verified that our facilities also implement safety procedures consistent with our guidelines for food service and hygiene.
Masks and social distancing: Because of the protocols we are requiring to enter a workshop, we are not requiring masks nor social distancing while attending a workshop. However, everyone has a choice when doing any exercise. If you feel uncomfortable with the proximity or touch, you are more than welcome to step out of an exercise and we will have masks available on site by request.
