HAI Global COVID-19 Attendance Policy
HAI Global (HAI) is committed to the safety of its participants, volunteers and employees. Please review this policy carefully prior to registering for any HAI event. When you register for the event, you are agreeing to adhere to this policy. Because even with precautions there are still risks, participants will be asked to sign a waiver understanding these risks prior to each event they attend.
We continue to monitor the situation, and the latest recommendations from the CDC and Health Canada inform our policies.
HAI provides extra sanitation and hygiene protocols within our workshops, including HEPA filters, hand sanitizer, regular wipe downs, as well as assuring that all staff and volunteers are following COVID guidelines. We have verified that all of our facilities implement safety procedures consistent with our guidelines for food service and hygiene.
U.S. and Canada Weekend Residential Events
We ask that you take extra precautions to avoid becoming infected (e.g., distancing, wearing a KN95 mask when in crowds) for the week prior to your workshop.
Onsite, HAI will check temperatures and administer a rapid antigen test to all attendees (participants, volunteers and staff) prior to the start of the event. HAI no longer requires vaccinations to attend HAI workshops.
Not passing the on-site COVID test, running a fever (99.5°F/37.5°C or more), exhibiting other symptoms of infectious illness (e.g., sore throat, swollen glands, sneezing, coughing, fatigue, rash, malaise), and/or not signing the waiver will result in disallowment from the event. If upon entering the event you find yourself sick or cannot produce the appropriate documents, you will be asked to leave. In either case, your registration fees will be rolled to a future workshop.
Because of the protocols we require to enter a workshop, we are not requiring masks nor social distancing during a weekend workshop. However, everyone has a choice when doing any exercise. If you feel uncomfortable with the proximity or touch, you are more than welcome to negotiate with your partners or step out of an exercise. We will have masks available on-site by request.
Please note there is a mandatory $15 surcharge added to in-person weekend workshop registrations to help offset the COVID testing and other COVID-related expenses until they are no longer necessary.
U.S. and Canada Non-Residential Events
The Connection Experience
To attend a 2-4 hour short workshop, HAI requires that all participants, volunteers and staff certify that they have no symptoms of infectious illness (e.g., fever, sore throat, swollen glands, sneezing, coughing, fatigue, rash, malaise), even if you don’t think it is COVID.
HAI will check temperatures at the door. Masks are optional for anyone attending the event.
Specific venues may require a more stringent policy and that will be communicated along with the event information.
If you feel uncomfortable with the proximity or touch, you are more than welcome to step out of an exercise. We will have masks available by request.
Other In-person Non-Residential Events
The COVID policy for any other non-residential events is specific to the each offering of the event and will be communicated as part of the event promotion. The policy may be different for the same event put on at different times or locations.
Carpooling
As much as HAI typically encourages carpooling, for now, we are asking people to drive separately if at all possible. Be aware that if anyone in the carpool tests positive then everyone in the carpool will be refused admission to the workshop and will need to reschedule.
