INFORMATION ABOUT THE

MARY McCARRON MEMORIAL HAI SCHOLARSHIP FUND

for Northern California and Southern California Regions

Mary K. McCarron was a HAI participant and volunteer who found enormous personal growth in the HAI workshops. At an event for our volunteers, Mary suggested that we raise money to support people who could not afford to pay for workshops. Mary wrote a check for $500 and individually asked each volunteer at the event to contribute, then and there. Her fierce determination was the beginning of our scholarship fund. To date, we have raised and awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars, enabling dozens of people each year to come to a HAI workshop, regardless of their personal financial constraints.

Through her acts of empowerment, we are all encouraged to see the world through Mary’s eyes—as an opportunity for love, kindness, abundance and generosity. Mary was killed in a car accident several years after she created the scholarship fund.  Today it is named the Mary McCarron Memorial Scholarship Fund.
