Program Structure: ELP is a 6-month online course in leadership and facilitation with emphasis on the skills, ethics, attitudes, and ways of being required for high-level leadership and group facilitation.
Bi-monthly training: Twice a month you will meet with your global cohort and two HAI facilitators for a virtual training and experiential exercises.
Small group support: You will also have a monthly video call with a small subset of your cohort and an advisor to integrate what you are learning (1-2 hours/month).
Self-directed learning: In between sessions you will have reading and experiential assignments that expand upon and reinforce your learning (2-4 hours/month).
One-on-One Assistance: You will have access to the training mentor and training advisors for periodic meetings as needed (arranged on an ad hoc basis). This will be especially helpful during your final project development and implementation.
Project: Each trainee will develop a workshop or community project designed to increase diversity/outreach in one or more targeted areas (age, race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, language, geographic area or other expansion group).
This project is the capstone of your training, and is an opportunity for you to experience and observe yourself as a leader with a new set of awarenesses and skills.
Outcome: Upon successful completion of the program you will receive a certificate of advanced facilitation/leadership from HAI Global. You will come away with heart-centered leadership skills useful in teaching, business, volunteer organizations, and personal and professional relationships. You will have achieved personal and professional growth through experiential exercises and ongoing feedback.
